If it has a command-line interface, you can get to an FTP client that way.
I've used Robo-FTP and also WS-FTP Pro with command line processing through
Witango, from an External action.
However, Witango treats the External action as a data source connection, and
there are some long slow file tranmissions it can cause threads to seem to
hang up while they wait. I've had better luck by using Witango to write a
command file, using a file action, a command file that manages the FTP
process, but not having Witango execute the command file through an exernal
action. I use a separate Scheduled Task to execute the command file, so that
Witango doesn't get bogged down.
