I have started to attempt to get Witangoserver running on Snow Leopard's (10.6) version of Apache and so far, no joy.

Jumped through the usual hoops (lipo-ing httpd, etc) that make Leopard's installation work, and then fired up the Witangoserver (which seems to be running just fine). Rosetta is installed, just in case.

Regular html pages are served OK, but I am running into an "ap_get_remote_host" error in the Apache crash logs when a Witango page is activated (even just a .tml page from localhost) -- and no page comes up

The witango module itself references "ap_get_remote_host" twice, when I checked.

This "ap_get_remote_host" error, according to what I can find on the internet, can be due to a "configuration" problem or a connection problem (esp relating to IPv6 or null addresses). I turned off IPv6 and even when I specify the IP address of the localhost server (though that I shouldn't have to do), the same issue arises and an Apache crash report is generated in the Mac OS X logs (no crash report from Witango).

I also found that some other applications have had problems with this "ap_get_remote_host" function in the past, but the resolutions seemed to involve Apache patches in most cases. Gah!

Attempting to use the (functional) Leopard Apache installation with Snow Leopard was a failure, as regular web pages wouldn't even come up.

Ideas, especially solutions?
