Not the ODBC settings, but the settings that you use to ‘open’ the database in
the Studio.

Try right-click > Modify on the ODBC data source name and verify that the
username/password is correct there.

Then right-click > Set Data Source on the database action in question and
select the data source on the left and check the “same as development” on the
right.

That should work provided that the same ODBC DSN is setup on your workstation
and the Witango server machine.

I can connect fine from the studio. I've set up the odbc driver to use the SQL
username and password I gave it. I can connect fine with odbc. Note that the
witango app is on one server, SQL server is on the database server, and the
studio is on my desktop machine. All machines can connect fine with odbc to sql
server. It's just the app server that doesn't send the username and password. I
though the app server was supposed to use the odbc settings but I guess not?

There should be a username between the ‘’ (unless you removed it)

Is this in the Studio (trying to open the data source) or from the Server?

Hey Robert,

My SQL server is already in mixed mode. I've tried authenticating with both a
SQL server account and windows account and get the error:

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user ''. The
user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

Rick,

This usually happens when your SQL Server is setup to allow connections through
Windows authentication only. Witango users SQL Server Authentication (a
username and password).

Hey all,

When I'm trying to connect to my database it tells me the account isn't
associated with a trusted SQL server connection. I've tried using both a
windows account and sql server account and no dice. I know it's the way the
server connects to the SQL server. Is there a way to set the database username
and password in WiTango server? I have no problems connecting to it using other
technologies like CF.
