Wayne,

Instead of layout_0 try using the name of the table.

Or, try leaving it out altogether and just put <@ARG product> in the Field
column.

Subject: Witango-Talk: Hack doesn't work in 6

Many moons ago we came up with something of a hack to meet the needs of a
client. The client is an association of companies in the photographic industry
whose members supply a range of photographic and photography related products.

http://www.photoimaging.com.au/

One link allows you to search by type of product and brand:

http://www.photoimaging.com.au/Members/memberssearch.taf

Each value in the drop down is a field name in the db. These fields contains
the brands the member distributes. So if you select 'Cameras' and enter 'canon'
it searches the field 'cameras' for the value 'canon' and returns a list of
distributors.

The search criteria looks like this:

The same code doesn't work in 6. It returns the error:

[FileMaker][FileMaker JDBC] FQL0007/(1:40): The column named "L1.cameras" does
not exist in any table in the column reference's scope.

Weird thing is, it's getting the field name correct but not the table name.

Any ideas how to get around this or should a rewrite the db.

Wayne
