Hi all,

Since IETF 121, we've published rfc5033-bis as BCP 133 / RFC 9743, providing guidance for standardizing new congestion control algorithms. A huge thank you and congrats to everyone involved in making this happen!

At IETF 122, look for us at the hackathon, where we’ll have a table focusing on testing congestion control and queue management mechanisms. Come help hack on a few upcoming technologies, or just say hi!

In the WG session, we’ll be discussing the latest updates to BBRv3 (draft-ietf-ccwg-bbr), a delay-based congestion controller currently in use at scale on the internet. We’ll also be discussing how to adjust sending rates when otherwise rate limited (draft-ietf-ccwg-ratelimited-increase). Then, we’ll finish the session with some discussion about potential upcoming work, SEARCH (draft-chung-ccwg-search) and HPCC (draft-miao-ccwg-hpcc and draft-miao-ccwg-hpcc-info).

Thanks,
Eric and Reese
