Hi, This questions is for Pau Garcia or anyone who can help a newbie to Ubuntu and Wt.
I am trying to install Wt on Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy and am following the instructions on the wiki page http://www.webtoolkit.eu/wt/wiki/index.php/Installing_Wt_on_Ubuntu to install from prebuilt packages by Pau Garcia This is what I have in my /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/pgquiles/ppa/ubuntu hardy main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/pgquiles/ppa/ubuntu hardy main deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/pgquiles/ubuntu hardy main restricted universe multiverse deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/pgquiles/ubuntu hardy main restricted universe multiverse due to the different versions i have read on a couple of help sites. $ sudo aptitude install witty witty-dbg witty-dev witty-doc gives me the following output. ----------------------------------------------------- Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Reading extended state information Initializing package states... Done Building tag database... Done Couldn't find package "witty". However, the following packages contain "witty" in their name: witty-doc Couldn't find any package whose name or description matched "witty-dbg" No candidate version found for witty-dev Couldn't find package "witty". However, the following packages contain "witty" in their name: witty-doc Couldn't find any package whose name or description matched "witty-dbg" No candidate version found for witty-dev The following packages have been automatically kept back: libcaca0 libcucul0 libexempi3 libsmbclient libwbclient0 poppler-utils samba-common The following packages have been kept back: libpam-modules libpam-runtime libpam0g smbclient 0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 11 not upgraded. Need to get 0B of archives. After unpacking 0B will be used. Writing extended state information... Done Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done ------------------------------------------------------- It doesnt seem to find the packages for Witty except witty-docs. I would much appreciate if anyone can help me install Wt successfully.
