Hi Koen ,

I have couple of questions regarding this library:

 (1) When can we expect plugins for some "real" DB , like MySQL?
 (2) I understand that you guys plan to keep Wt::Dbo separated from the
rest of the Witty . Does that mean you won't try to integrate Dbo into
classes like WAbstractItemModel ? I believe it would be good idea to be
able to pack the vector of data into ( for example ) WTableView
automatically .
 (3) Will Wt::Dbo be able to serialize JOIN statements into objects? (
that's typical problem with the all of the ORM libraries, afaik )

I you're having trouble with implementing this due to lack of manpower , I
would be happy to provide you assistance as much as my programming/Jiu
Jiutsu schedule allows it :-)

Dushan

Just yesterday, we merged Wt::Dbo (together with many other features
that were announced a while ago) into our public git branch. The
documentation that is included has a tutorial on its usage.

Perhaps you have read our blog post about it which highlights the main
ideas: http://www.webtoolkit.eu/wt#/blog/2009/11/26/wt__dbo__an_orm__c___style

So it will make it into the next release of Wt, having progressed to
be quite usable (and stable!) if you can live with sqlite3 as a
database backend.

koen
