Hey,

You are right. This does not work as it supposed to, and the culprit
is the LazyLoading, which inserts an intermediate container widget
breaking the chain of layouts.

As a temporary workaround, PreLoading will work (it does for me in a
small test case).
I've filed a bug waiting for a definite solution:
