It is astonsihing how many XML processing libraries claim to be the
fastest. In fact, it's weird that XML processing performance is
something people seem to care about a lot !

According to this benchmark of 2009 they clearly weren't THE fastest,
because rapidxml (which we are using in Wt) beats it in most
benchmarks, amongst others:

Maybe they've improved considerably ?
