Hey Stefan,

The WValidator::validate() with a non-const string is indeed not good.
It happened historically, as in the first version of Wt there was an
intended behaviour that the validator could also "fixup" the input
(after Qt).

We have however abandoned that, but we kept the signature to avoid
breaking the API... It is planned for the next major version (Wt 4 ?)
