Maybe just have whoever wants the clicks connect() to both A.clicked()
and B.clicked() ?
Otherwise, what about just having whoever paints on A just paint on
B's canvas ?
I think WPaintedWidget is expecting to capture clicks as part of it's
design, so I don't think there's an easy way around it while still
using something derived from WIntereactiveWidget.
Sorry for my uneducated guesses.
It may do the job in the case there is only one different area to click,
but that is not the case and I can't know which area I want to click.

I believe this should work if (A) is a child of (B).

addChild is protected maybe you mean that A should be a subclass of B ?
Btw I solved the question by reducing the size of (A) to the minimum
that I need and place it precisely using /setOffsets /function on it so
it does not override the click on (B) elements.
Thank you for helping
