While agree mostly with your overview of pro and cons of the current
WebSocket support in Wt, I am a bit surprised by this:
- bugs, hard to debug: hangs, unable-to-connect, etc
Do you see this regularly and can you reproduce this ?
We have been deploying the chat example (including the widget in the
homepage) with WebSockets enabled for about a year now, and indeed we
solved some issues but recently (since 6 months) it's been running stable
so I would be curious of why you see still problems.
