This may more appropriately be something other (JavaScript) than
WItemDelegate, but it is what is revealing the issue for me.
When the editor is displayed its height is incorrect and shortly there
after some Javascript increases its height. When it does so, chrome
incorrectly renders the box cropping the bottom section of the text.

A work around is whenever an input box is increased in size, reset the
font-family.
