Hey Dmitriy,
WPopupWidget will as parent always return the domRoot() since that's the
place it gets rendered. It will thus fail to return the parent you've
indicated to bound the lifetime of the widget. So the assert is not
something we'll fix.
I have fixed the double delete problem in latest git however.
