To use it with Qt without display, you must use QCoreApplication, not
QApplication.

I wasn't aware of this (I guess I never tested this example with apache).
But I would assume then this is something you can (and should) accomplish by
passing this in a custom-made argc/argv that you pass to the QApplication
constructor that you put in main() ?
