Summary: Column/@Category="Template" changes to "Formatted"
Initial Comment:
When a Column element in a CustomTable has a
Category="Template" attribute, WiX should set
_Validation.Category='Template' in the resulting
file. However, WiX 2.0.4423.0 instead sets
_Validation.Category='Formatted'. This then causes
ICE03 to reject template-specific syntax like "[2]".
If I change _Validation.Category with Orca, then ICE03
is satisfied.
The bug appears to be in the function
Microsoft.Tools.WindowsInstallerXml.Linker.Link:
case "Formatted":
category = ColumnCategory.Formatted;
break;
case "Template":
category = ColumnCategory.Formatted;
break;
The *.wixobj file contains "Template" as expected.
