That would help to make those sources generated by different teams to work together. I need this for adding javadoc-API's (a lot html files) into the msi, which consist usualy of several hundred generated components, which i don't want to modify each time wxs-file is generated. Or even better, if the MSI-identifiers could be generated at link time and the wix-compiler would use some kind of relative references (based on the components directory-structure and optionally a fragment/sourcefile specification). Components could be referenced using a FragmentRef, DirectoryRef and Components-Id. If the components-id would be unique just across one directory in one source file, wix-sources would be much easier to maintain and generated wix-sources don't require changes anymore.
