Category: msbuild Group: v3.0 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Heath Stewart (heaths) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: MSBuild WiX taskscannot resolve WiX tool paths automatically Initial Comment: When including $(MSBuildExtensionPath)\Microsoft\WiX\v3.0\Wix.targets, the WiX tasks cannot resolve the locations of candle and light (or any other tools) if $(WixToolPath) is not set, unlike Votive which seems to find where these tools are located automatically. Unless the tools are in the PATH or in the current directory with WixTasks.dll, a build error occurs.
