Every Component should have at least one parent Feature. (This is weird, as there are no features in merge modules....afaik) Indeed something is wrong. When I look at the merge module I see that the ModuleComponent table is empty and consequently the validation results in ICEM05 ERROR The component MyFile.12345678_8DEE_4410_990A_1802896C4209 in the Component table is not listed in the ModuleComponents table. If you replace the FragmentRef with a ComponentRef everything should work much better. In general, FragmentRef should be avoided (it has been deprecated in WiX v3).
