Using Visual Studio 2005, and the latest wix installer (this has been true for about 6 months I think; I'm now using 3.0.3530.0). When an error causes a WIX build to fail - I see the error#, but not the detailed description of what when wrong (like line/file etc). So - I have to copy from the Visual Studio output window the commandline executed (e.g. light.exe xxxx) and run that from the command-line to see the actual error message. I've seen this behavior on both of the two development computers I test with, so it doesn't appear likely to be an installation / configuration problem on my end. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=642714&aid=1847304&group_id=105970 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
