I did try installing WIX 3.02925.0 and I get a dialog pop-up that says
VS.NET 2008 Standard Edition or above is not installed.. I have VS.NET 2008
Professional Edition installed.
Any suggestions ?

Votive version 3 BETA is dated May-2007.
Yet the version 3 BETA supports VS.NET 2008 ?
This does not make a lot of sense.
Please clarify...that yes.. Votive version 3 BETA is the one I should
install.
Does version 3 contain all of the functionality as version 2 ?

Votive v2 was frozen well before VS2008 was released. Votive v3 supports it.
