Greetings,
Since there is no Browse For File Dialog in WIX 3.0, we had to call-it from
the c++ BrowseForFile.dll through Custom Actions and it is working
successfully on win2003 & win2008. Well, It is better for us to implement-it
using c# custom action instead of calling a c++ library. Unfortunately, it
is not working using the famous OpenFileDialog object in c#. When you click
the push browse button, the wait cursor appears without showing the common
file dialog. "This behavior is only happening on Windows 2008 server".
There are no relevant error log data ( /lv detail.log) since the setup does
not reach the execution process, the setup hangs-up after pushing the browse
for file button.
