Ok I’ll give that a go but defect 3130 says that 7-zip has a problem with them.
This only happens with 3.7 has something changed with the 3.7 zipping process?

Standard zipping tools can unzip them (explorer.exe for example), it's just
WinZip that seems to have an issue with them. 7-zip (which I use since I find
WinZip annoying) does fine. This seems like a bug in WinZip.

The zip files for source and binaries fail to extract with WinZip. The error
displayed is "Warning: skipping "tools\src\XsdStitch\". The 32-bit CRC stored
in the local header for this file is not the same as the 32-bit CRC stored in
the central header" (this happens for all files). They unzip ok with Explorer.
