I've created a branch and have my 3.7 changes ported to 3.8. The intent is to
allow users of WixStdBA to turn on ActionData messages being displayed in the
UI by customizing the theme. Since we don't want to introduce new defaults in
3.X, I'm working on trying to document the changes in the help file instead of
changing the default theme. In the help files, I've created a "Customize the
WiX Standard Bootstrapper Application Layout" page where I document the ability
to provide a custom theme file, as well as my new action data text control. In
addition, I touched on the ability to resize the BA window. From there I was
going to comment on the theme viewer, and was wondering what the best way to
reference this tool since the Wix installer doesn't create a shortcut to it.
Would simply referring to it via "ThmViewer.exe which is located in %WIX%\bin\"
suffice?
In the future I think we should be creating a shortcut to this tool from the
Wix install.
