Usage questions should be posted to the wix-users group, not the developers
group.
Sounds like the old install was a per-machine install and the new one got
changed to be per -user.

Subject: [WiX-devs] Wix upgrade
I implemented wix installer successfully. Used various feature from wix as
well. I switch from visual studio MSI to wix. Earlier MSI was installing at
Program files but now wix is installing in LocalAppData folder. I verified
upgrade code for both everything looks good. And I have code for upgrade as
well. But some how after installing new build it is keeping both products in my
machine. Could you please suggest which step I am missing.
