I would push most of the choosing to the Internet. Get a URL that is stable
and have it decide where to redirect traffic. Burn will follow through.
Also, I don't think this feature should be added to the engine. We want to
keep the features in Burn down to the set that cannot be done outside of
the engine. Then, we can contribute higher level concepts (like latency
detection and multiple URL resolution) to layers above the engine. The
balutil.lib is a perfect example of a block of code that you only "pay for
what you use" with. If you wanted to do this feature, I think it would be
an interesting thing to add to balutil.lib and then people that wanted to
use it could easily use it in their BA.
If we put all features in Burn, it will become very big and very
challenging to keep extremely stable. The Burn engine must be stable above
almost everything else.
Interesting idea though.
