Now that the WiX settings engine prototype is checked into master branch,
I'd like to make the user-facing parts of it easily downloadable with each
4.0 official build, so people who want to can actually play around with it.
I'd like to do the following things, to get it initially available:
1) I'll make a change to zip all the "user data manifest" files (UDM
extension) with the build into their own zip. So we'll have a new
"wix40-udms.zip".
2) I'll also rename the settings engine browser app installer to
"WiX40SettingsBrowser.exe", to make its purpose more intuitive.
3) I'll need someone's help (Rob or Bob?) to make both of these new files
available for download on the weekly release page (i.e. on the page like
this: http://wixtoolset.org/releases/v4.0.424.0).
Is this a reasonable plan?
Thanks,
Mike Carlson
