Hello All,
I was unable to find the algorithm in the code for the generation of Guids
that have a value of *. I have two questions.
1. Where is this algorithm?
2. Is intended to be stable across upgrade codes? I.e. if a user decided to
split an application installer that universally uses Guid="*" in half
because it is really two products, can they still use Guid="*" in both new
installers or will they have to hard code the Guids to prevent component
rule violations?
