Hi again, thanks for the hint - and also thanks to Neil's blog for his description on how to setup a WiX build machine (describing how use sn to trust the public key on a 3rd party machine ;-)

The documentation at http://wixtoolset.org/development/building-wix says that I need to msbuild with p:/OFFICIAL_WIX_BUILD to get strong-name signed binaries. But for that, I need to have all SDKs installed - is there some kind of intermediate step I can take to get signed stuff out that I can use on my test-system? However, you should basically be able to use the WiX toolset from its build directory (WiX builds itself after all). You could also build “Tools\WixRelease.relproj” to get the binaries.zip files and use that in your private build process. _______________________________________________________________ FireGiant | Dedicated support for the WiX toolset | http://www.firegiant.com/ From: Tobias Erichsen [mailto:i...@tobias-erichsen.de] Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2014 1:01 AM To: WiX toolset developer mailing list Subject: Re: [WiX-devs] Recompiling WixBalExtension.dll for test-usage in installed WiX Hi again, or to widen the scope a little: If I have created an (informal/internal) release-build, is there some kind of batch-file to copy all necessary files into my installer-directory for testing? Or if there is some kind of document describing this I'd be really grateful... Best regards, Tobias
