I would absolutely LOVE an XML-driven replacement for MakeAppx.exe. Besides
the non-declarative model, the thing won't run on Server OS's-only Windows
8.1-which makes it worthless on my build servers.

The word at Microsoft is packages. APPX, APK, and WebDeploy. All fine and
dandy, and they work well enough in a limited set of circumstances.
Of course, when I ask the MVP instructors to discuss the disadvantages of
packages, they seemingly can't come up with any.
Experience teaches otherwise.
