I was reading a thread today that was discussing this very question.  I too, would be more than willing to submit enhancements/bug fixes.  One question I had, though, was what if I adjust the code in such a way that it wouldn't really be helpful to other users.  Maybe I've limited some functionality or locked down a piece so it was specific to my install by basing a condition upon a certain property I've included in my MSI or something similar.

Does the Common Public License restrict me from releasing the dll as part of my MSI without submitting the changes back to the community?  Is it necessary to meet the terms of the license if I sign the agreement and then submit my changes?  I've read Rob's posts about how to become part of the WiX dev community and one thing that stood out to me was that any changes to v2 will probably not be accepted unless they are major show stoppers.  My changes are definitely not huge bug fixes, just minor tweaks for convenience.

The company I work for wants to make sure we are in the clear as far as this open source license goes before we release our product in August.  I'd be happy to hear what everybody thinks.

Thanks,
Dana
