This prevents intelisense from autocompleting the extensions. A workaround for this situation is to download WiX binaries zip file and copy schemas from doc directory to D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Xml\Schemas\ I also noticed that in the About dialog of visual studio, displayed Votive version is 3.0 it should be 3.0.2120.0 It would be better if a shortcut to chm help file is placed in start menu entry.
