What is the the primary reason for having a different product code for different localized versions of the same product? I could understand that it is reasonable to do that so you can install two different localized version of the product on the same OS. What if we don't allow two different localized versions to be installed on the same OS? Is there any reason why we still need the product codes to be different? Would having have product code for different localized versions cause issues in terms of serviceability? Thanks!
