I believe that this can be done using FOR UPDATE clause rather than writing unnecessary code to create artificial locking. Now, you say "we take OS backup". And VectorWorks uses files, not a database. I just get the feeling it is "wrong" and that this query should have been either single- or multi-pass executing, however it didn't in this particular instance. Now, you say "we take OS backup". Because Halo 2 is not a Fortress game, one would not expect spies in the game. While technically I am on call more now, the databases don't require that much care. For readablity, developers enter comments against some of the SQL lines. Ask Tom "Is there any way of virtualizing tablesp. Our code review team says, it would take more time to execute, if we put comments on SQL lines. Also, how does it actually work? But it is worth not having to deal with the above. That's true of Archicad in general, though, not just Teamwork. Does Oracle's DBA certification help? that is the only thing they are NOT ALLOWED TO MESS UP.
