Hello all, I'm just trying to learn WiX so please excuse me for presenting a question which has apparently been answered on this list. I just have difficulties to understand those examples.
My problem is as follows: I create a setup using VS2003. The installation has a dialog presenting a checkbox "Create a desktop shortcut". This works as expected when setup.msi created by VS2003 is executed. Then I decompile this msi using dark, make some changes (translate texts), compile and link my wxs file to get a modified msi. The checkbox appears on the dialog where I put it, but it can't be checked. It is enabled I guess cause it flashes when clicked on. It appears to me that dark (?) is somehow messing with this shortcut thing, but I can't figure out what's happening? Has anybody any clue where the problem might be or does anybody know an example simple enough for a newbie to get grasp on this thing?
