We certainly are getting ICE warnings (with CR 11). Fortunately, we are
currently using WiX 2, so the ICE errors, while annoying, don't cause a
build failure. They also don't cause the specific error you mention.
I coded my WiX script with conditional inclusion of the Crystal merge
module. I use the build without including it to check that I don't have
any ICE problems in the parts of the setup I have coded and have control
over, then include the Crystal Reports merge module in the actual build
and trust that even though the installation generated fails validation
to some extent it still does what it should.
I don't like it much, but we don't have enough buying power to slap
Business Objects (or whoever owns Crystal this month) around the head
and tell them to do it right! :-)

I've found that the error goes away when i don't include the MSM module
of CrystalReports (11.5 aka 11R2).
Somehow this mergemodule seems to be the problem of all kind of problems
and generates a lot of ICE warnings..
Are there more people out there experiencing the same problems?
But what is more important; what can I do to fix this? (Besides filing a
bug report with the guys at BO)
The Crystal Mergemodules are dated Februari 14 2007. And are the latest
available (AFAICS)..
