I have an application that creates some config files that I'd like to
conditionally uninstall with the application. It looks like I can just
use <RemoveFile> to get rid of these on uninstall, but I'd like to give
the user the option of keeping them in case they reinstall later. I've
seen several installers present these types of options-is there a sample
anywhere that shows how to accomplish something like this? The catch is
that I don't want to remove these features by default, so if I push out
a major upgrade (which will remove the old version first) I don't want
these files deleted, but I also don't want the user to be asked to keep
them. I only want the option presented if they run the MSI again and
select "remove", or if they remove through the control panel.
Thanks for your help,
Chris
