Does Windows Installer consider _ to be an uppercase character? Would SQL_PROTOCOL be considered a public property or not? I'd try it without theunderscore to see if there's a difference.
Couldn't hurt, but I think it's safe. The doc says: "Public property <public_properties.htm> names cannot contain lowercase letters." That's more clear than "all uppercase."
