Anyone knows why this does not makes the installation to rollback?

WriteMetabaseChanges: failed to open '/LM/W3SVC/3/' key, retrying 0 time(s)
The metabase of the machine I was running this, was corrupted, I was actually
creating 3 web sites, two of them worked but the third one was not created.
After much looking I realized the metabase was corrupted and looked like:
[/W3SVC/3]
[/W3SVC/3/W3SVC]
[/W3SVC/3/W3SVC/3]
KeyType : (STRING) "IIsWebServer"
So I guess that is why I got that message in the installer. The installation
never failed, so I never knew there was an issue. Is this by design?
