This does not appear to be a WiX issue, but I figured I would bounce
this here to see if anyone has hit this before. My installs are failing
intermittently, though I don't know the exact frequency since it's
happened 3 out of 4 installs.
Here's the pertinent information from the MSI log of 5859 lines:
1690: MSI (s) (20:14) [09:43:24:797]: Calling SRSetRestorePoint
API. dwRestorePtType: 0, dwEventType: 102, llSequenceNumber: 0,
szDescription: "Installed ICE Framework 2.1".
1691: MSI (s) (20:14) [09:43:24:797]: The call to
SRSetRestorePoint API failed. Returned status: 0. GetLastError()
returned: 1
This is MSI is being installed on a virtual machine for testing
purposes.
If anyone has any reference materials to help solve this, that would be
wonderful!
