Gabor's tutorial is using WiX v2. In WiX v3, the signature of
WcaAddTempRecord changed:
HRESULT __cdecl WcaAddTempRecord(
__inout MSIHANDLE* phTableView,
__inout MSIHANDLE* phColumns,
__in LPCWSTR wzTable,
__out_opt MSIDBERROR* pdbError,
__in UINT uiUniquifyColumn,
__in UINT cColumns,
...
);
The MSIDBERROR* argument is new. If you don't want to retrieve an error
code, just pass NULL.
