You could try doing a registry search if you know the service name (that's the 
name you would have to use with a NET START XXX command from a command prompt) 
as the service control manager store is held under the following key;
 
           HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services
 
You should be able to read keys under this registry key without being an admin 
but don't quote me on that...Adrian "Demented Devil" LewisIf it's ain't broke, 
break it THEN fix it!
