I understand that; I'm not using a UI at all, and I'm not using any 
managed code within my packages.  Since Script actions are the 
red-headed step-children of Windows Installer, I find myself writing a 
lot of C++...

I was just saying that for the people THAT WANT to create UI's in .NET 
(winforms, WPF), nothing is stopping them from doing so now.  For that 
matter, you can pretty much use whatever you want to create the UI, if 
the UI capabilities within Windows Installer do not meet your needs.

Having a toolkit, or at least guidelines as to look and feel, would be 
great.  I don't think that project falls under the WiX purview, 
necessarily, but it WOULD be a nice companion project for those people 
that are more comfortable writing UI code in .NET.

Really, I just thought the debate somewhat silly, since it's not like 
one is limited to one UI mechanism or the other.
