I am actually doing silent installations. So the input to the msi should
only come from the command line
msiexec /i mymsi.msi /l*v mylog.txt ADDSOURCE=mymachinename etc.
I Have found a workaround by not using subfeatures. I Use componentGroups
instead.
So I have one componentGroup for each Service, then i reference all the
services i need in a feature by referencing their respective
componentGroups.
But I'm still curious to get answers on my question
