I have a really weird scenario in a rather complex install. This might be more of a windows installer question, sorry.
I have two applications installed, both bringing in VB6 runtime, the first via a merge module, the second via the .exe that Microsoft provided a long, long time ago. When I run the second application I get a windows installer popup that tries to (re)install the first. In the event viewer I see that there's a component missing that has nothing to do with VB6, but it's part of a feature that's probably connected via a feature tree to the vb6 runtime. What happens then is totally puzzling: I can hit cancel on that reinstall window, but it removes the folders that were installed empty by application 1. Those are folders that have a <CreateFolder /> in them. What's going on? Ideas?
