Hi All, Just today all of my wix projects started failing to build. I am not aware of any new installation which could have affected this. I have re-installed VS AND WiX, and still the problem remains.
C:\Program Files\MSBuild\Microsoft\WiX\v3.0\Wix.targets(789,5): error MSB4036: The "ResolveNonMSBuildProjectOutput" task was not found. Check the following: 1.) The name of the task in the project file is the same as the name of the task class. 2.) The task class is "public" and implements the Microsoft.Build.Framework.ITask interface. 3.) The task is correctly declared with <UsingTask> in the project file, or in the *.tasks files located in the "c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727" directory. Does anybody have any clue why this might be happening? It just started spontaneously, and affects ALL WiX projects that previously built fine (i.e. it has nothing to do with my WiX, but something underlying, like in MSBuild). My GAC contains all the Microsoft.Build.Tasks assemblies that I would expect it to... Thanks!!
