Right, I found that searching the registry and I saw it said ".NET Category" 
and I also did a google search where it was mentioned that this was a generic 
category saying it was done in .NET.

I also got the impression that it shouldn't be relied on, but alas I've come 
across code from developers who are doing just that.  They are using a special 
implemented category to drive a component plugin system that was written in C++.
