I seem to remember getting similar errors myself with pyro that were caused by having references (component ones as it happened) in the PatchFamily element which didn't match any components from my package - I'd copy/pasted without thinking. By removing them completely or replacing the ids such that they match an object in my original package I was able to get it to compile.
