I'm using Wix 3.0 RTM.
Using the <Product> tag the Name attribute value is used in the add/remove
programs list to identify the program. It is also used in the Window bar of the
MSI UI.
The problem is that we would like to use a longer more descriptive name in the
add/remove programs list, and a shorter one in the window bar (so the value
does not get clipped).
I have tried modifying
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{component
guid}\DisplayName with no success. The value in the add/remove programs list
does not change.
Anyone else solve this problem?
