I'm fairly new to WiX/Windows Installer, but I think things are starting to
click. The keypath is set at the component level for the counters component.
This one has been a little confusing since the component itself doesn't specify
a directory. There is an include in a DirectoryRef which includes the file
that contains the counters component, so I believe the keypath must be that
directory. Since a patch can't change the keypath of a component I'm assuming
I can't create a patch that is uninstallable if I include this component. I've
included a sample of the code that I am maintaining for clarification.
